FASTRAC Virtual Classes
Want to buy a home and don’t know where to begin? NHS of Greater Berks offers an eight (8) hour Fastrac Homebuyer Education workshop that allows interested first-time homebuyers the opportunity to understand the steps in the homebuying process. A PHFA participating lender and a local realtor will present valuable information and are available to answer your questions. Classes are offered in both English and Spanish on Saturday twice per month.

Mortgage Qualifying
Loan Application Process
Closing the Real Estate Transaction
Predatory Lending
Fair Housing Practices

Families who complete the FastTrac Homebuyer Education Class can receive guidance in applying for downpayment assistance. There are special programs at the local, state and federal level which provide loans to qualified families to help them purchase a home. These funds can be applied toward your closing costs or to your down payment to lower your monthly payments and make them more affordable.

Virtual Counseling

If you don’t have time to come into NHS for the FASTRAC classes, they can be completed online, in English or Spanish. eHome America is designed to take 6-8 hours and can be completed at your own pace, using a log-in and password to start and stop at your convenience. eHomeamerica offers a self-paced course, giving you the flexibility to start, pause, and continue the course at your own convenience.

- Select state (PA) and County (your County)
- Select Homebuyer Education Course
- Select NHS of Greater Berks (if you do not select NHS, we will be unable to issue a copy of your Certificate via email upon completion)
- Create account and pay fee $125
- Answer the questions to finish registration. Some may not be applicable > Start course
